The short version
- No ads, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
- No account. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your calculations stay on your device, or in your own private iCloud account if you turn on sync. We can’t see them.
- If you choose to share anonymous usage statistics, they help us improve the app. Sharing is off unless you turn it on, and it never includes the numbers or expressions you type.
- We don’t sell, rent or share personal information with anyone.
Who we are
RIZS Calc is a calculator app for iPhone, iPad and Mac made by Irizar Solutions Inc. under its RIZS brand (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the RIZS Calc app and its pages on this website. If you have a question about it, email support@rizs.app.
Your calculations and history
Everything you type into RIZS Calc, including numbers, expressions, fractions, loan details, history entries and notes, is processed and stored on your device. We don’t run servers that receive or store it.
Optional iCloud sync
If you have Pro and turn on iCloud sync, your history is stored in your own private iCloud database so it can appear on your other devices. That database belongs to your Apple Account, is protected by Apple, and isn’t accessible to us. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in Apple’s privacy policy. You can turn sync off at any time in RIZS Calc’s Settings.
Purchases
RIZS Calc Pro is sold through the App Store, and Apple processes every payment. We never receive your name, payment card or billing details. The app asks Apple only whether Pro is active on your Apple Account so it can unlock the right features. Apple may share aggregated sales reports with us that do not identify you.
Anonymous usage analytics
If you turn on Share Anonymous Usage Data in RIZS Calc’s Settings, the app sends anonymous usage signals to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, so we can see which features are useful and where the app can improve. A signal records that something happened, for example:
- the app was opened, or a calculator mode was opened;
- step-by-step explanations were viewed, or the daily free limit was reached;
- the Pro screen was shown, and whether a purchase was started, completed or canceled;
- a theme or app icon was changed;
- a feature such as loan extras, extra-payment scenarios, history search or iCloud sync was used.
Signals also include technical and usage details that TelemetryDeck’s SDK adds automatically. These are the app version and build, the operating system version, the device type and screen size, your language, region and time zone, and display and accessibility settings such as dark mode or larger text. They also include anonymous usage counts, such as how many sessions or days the app has been used and how long sessions last, plus a one-time signal when the app is first installed. Times are rounded to the hour. Each signal is tied to a random identifier for your installation of the app, which is scrambled (hashed) on your device before it’s sent, rather than to you, so we can count, for example, how many devices use a feature without knowing whose devices they are.
We never collect the numbers, expressions or other content you type. Analytics signals don’t include your name, email address, contacts, location or anything else that identifies you. According to TelemetryDeck, it does not store IP addresses, and the data it processes cannot be used to identify you or to track you across other apps or websites. We don’t use analytics for advertising, and we don’t combine it with data from any other source. You can learn more at telemetrydeck.com.
Usage analytics are optional and off by default. Nothing is sent until you turn on Share Anonymous Usage Data, and you can turn it off again at any time; the app then stops sending signals.
Information Apple may share with us
If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may provide us with crash reports and aggregated statistics, such as how many people installed the app. Apple controls this sharing and the data does not identify you. You can turn it on or off in your device’s privacy settings at any time.
When you email us
If you contact support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply and help you, and we don’t add you to any mailing list. You can ask us to delete our correspondence with you at any time.
Children’s privacy
Many people who use RIZS Calc are students. The app is designed so that it does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It has no account, no ads, no chat or social features, and no way to share personal information with us inside the app. If a parent or guardian believes their child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Your choices
- Delete your history at any time in the app. If iCloud sync is on, deleted entries are also removed from your other devices.
- Turn iCloud sync off in RIZS Calc’s Settings. You can also delete data that RIZS Calc has stored in iCloud from your device’s iCloud storage settings.
- Choose whether to share usage analytics with Share Anonymous Usage Data in RIZS Calc’s Settings. It’s off unless you turn it on.
- Delete the app to remove all of its data from that device.
- Ask us anything about your privacy, or ask us to delete support emails, at support@rizs.app.
Because we don’t hold personal information about the people who use the app, there’s usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete beyond support emails. If privacy laws in your region give you additional rights, we’ll honor them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll publish the updated version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, for example if RIZS Calc ever begins collecting a new kind of information, we’ll also announce it in the app’s release notes before it takes effect.
