Free and Pro

What’s free, and what comes with Pro?

Free is a complete calculator: Standard and Scientific (with memory keys), Fractions with mixed numbers and decimal equivalents, 3 step-by-step explanations a day, the loan monthly payment, a history of your last 50 calculations, copy and share, and a Control Center button. There are no ads in any version.

Pro adds unlimited step-by-step explanations, the loan payment schedule, home and car costs, extra-payment and lump-sum scenarios, complete history with search, notes and favorites, iCloud sync across your devices, themes and alternate app icons, and a Home Screen widget.

Pro costs $4.99 a year (with a 3-day free trial) or $9.99 once for lifetime access. Both options unlock exactly the same features.

How do the 3 free step-by-step explanations work?

Every fraction answer is free. Seeing the worked steps behind an answer uses one of your 3 free explanations for the day. Opening the steps again for the same calculation that day doesn’t use another one.

Your allowance resets at midnight, local time. With Pro, explanations are unlimited.

How does the free trial work?

The yearly plan starts with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. If you don’t want to continue, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you won’t be charged. Otherwise the trial becomes a yearly subscription at $4.99 (or the local price in your country). The lifetime option has no trial because it’s a single purchase.

Purchases and subscriptions

How do I restore my purchases?

If you bought Pro before, on this device or another one, you can unlock it again at no cost:

  1. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy Pro.
  2. Open RIZS Calc’s Settings and find the RIZS Calc Pro section.
  3. Tap Restore Purchases.

Restore Purchases is also available on the Pro screen. If Pro still doesn’t unlock, email us and include roughly when you bought it.

Can my family use Pro?

Yes. Both the yearly plan and the lifetime purchase support Family Sharing, so up to five other members of your Family Sharing group can use Pro at no extra cost.

  • The person who bought Pro needs purchase sharing turned on in their Family Sharing settings.
  • Family members should open RIZS Calc while signed in with their own Apple Account. Pro usually unlocks on its own; if it doesn’t, tap Restore Purchases in Settings, under RIZS Calc Pro.
How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, so you cancel through your Apple Account settings rather than in the app itself. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription.

  • iPhone or iPad: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Choose RIZS Calc Pro and tap Cancel Subscription.
  • Mac: open the App Store, click your name, then Account Settings. Next to Subscriptions, click Manage, then choose RIZS Calc Pro.

You can also get there from RIZS Calc: in Settings, under RIZS Calc Pro, tap Manage Subscription. Apple keeps up-to-date instructions on its official page about canceling a subscription.

After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. The lifetime purchase isn’t a subscription, so there’s nothing to cancel.

Can I get a refund?

All payments are handled by Apple, and we can’t issue refunds ourselves. You can request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

History and iCloud sync

How do I sync my history between devices?

iCloud sync is part of Pro. Turn on iCloud sync in RIZS Calc’s Settings on each iPhone, iPad or Mac where you use the app. Your history is stored in your own private iCloud account, and new calculations appear on your other devices, usually within a few moments.

My history isn’t syncing. What can I check?
  1. Pro is active on each device. If not, restore your purchase (see above).
  2. iCloud sync is on in RIZS Calc’s Settings on every device.
  3. Every device is signed in to the same Apple Account and has iCloud turned on.
  4. RIZS Calc is allowed to use iCloud. Check the list of apps using iCloud in your device’s iCloud settings.
  5. Your iCloud storage isn’t full. History takes very little space, but sync stops when storage is full.
  6. You’re online. Low Power Mode and Low Data Mode can delay syncing. Open RIZS Calc on both devices and give it a few minutes.

Still stuck? Email us with the devices involved and their software versions.

Why can I only see 50 history entries?

The free version shows your 50 most recent calculations. Pro shows your complete history and adds search, notes and favorites.

Privacy and other questions

Do you collect my data?

No ads, no tracking and no account. Your calculations stay on your device, or in your own private iCloud account if you turn on sync; we can’t see them. If you turn on Share Anonymous Usage Data in Settings, the app shares anonymous usage statistics, such as which modes get opened, to help us improve it. It’s off by default and never includes the numbers or expressions you type. The privacy policy has the details.

Which devices are supported?

RIZS Calc runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later, and on Mac with macOS 26 or later. On iPad and Mac you can type with a hardware keyboard.

I think a result is wrong. What should I do?

Please email us the exact calculation you entered, the result you got, and the result you expected. Accuracy matters to us, and we look into every report.
